I had no problems with the employees. It was a lovely morning and I spent a good amount of time just wandering. If you get a chance go across the street to Annie's -- enjoy a beverage and conversation.
Obvious nepotism going on in this village. Aside from the dull witted employees, history buffs will enjoy the sites. It is a long and arduous journey to get here, so only hard-core history buffs should attempt it. If you're indifferent to the history, don't bother.
People were rather rude, and don't expect to take a tour of the town in any way without paying. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and was expect to pay for a full tour and for parking my vehicle despite the fact the tour was closing down for the day. Was told that dogs were not allowed on the tour (and I need to find a dog sitter on short notice, out of nowhere), but as I drove through the town (to leave) noticed dogs everywhere. Town definitely looks interesting and I'd love to walk through it, but was put under the impression I'd have to pay just to do that...Oh, and no cameras.
Great historic value we learned a lot and will visit again
Real history comes to life. Fun and educational! A must see.
